Aid for Ida: Hurricane Relief For Shluchim
Peretz Kazen, Coordinator
Hurricane Ida ravaged Louisiana on Sunday, leaving over a million people without power. Aid For Ida is a campaign that has been set up to provide funding for ten Shluchim and their families located in the greater New Orleans area.
The natural disaster has left the shluchim (and millions of others) without power and has caused significant damage to their homes, compromising the safety of their families in the extreme. The outage is predicted to be a prolonged one, leaving the residents of greater New Orleans with a gaping hole of uncertainty ahead. We can help.
The Aid For Ida campaign aims to raise $50K with the goal of reassuring the Shluchim with the knowledge that they and their families will be cared for. And they, in turn, will continue to care for so many others.
All donations will cover the following:
1. Food and Water purchases until power is restored
2. Travel costs for the evacuation of the Shliuchim's families
3. Temporary hotel and rental accommodation until power is restored
4. Damage mitigation so no additional damage is caused
5. Emergency post-hurricane supplies
All donations will be matched dollar for dollar by these generous matches:
Mendel & Reut Pinson
